Many beginners looking for ways of making money on the internet look into one of these avenues. When we compare affiliate advertising vs e-commerce, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Either can be a fantastic beginning for a beginner. I've done both and chose to focus my time together with affiliate marketing. In this video I will explain the advantages and pitfalls of affiliate marketing vs e-commerce to assist you decide on your own.
Over the past year and a half, I had been building an e-commerce business. Although I moved from e-commerce to affiliate advertising, I think e-commerce is awesome. If you are going to go all to it, then do it up. You may make a lot of money and I know a good deal of individuals who are making a great deal of money with e-commerce. But personally, I opted to move into affiliate marketing for a few different reasons. If you're a beginner with earning money online, I'd recommend affiliate marketing and I will explain why in this video. I feel like it's a simpler start for someone attempting to earn money on the internet.
I had a couple e-commerce stores on Shopify. There is different ways to go about e-commerce. Many people today buy large stock upfrontothers do white labeling or personal labeling, etc.. I was doing fall shipping. I was sourcing my products out of AliExpress. It's kind of like Amazon but using a bunch of suppliers selling things for cheap. You never need to hold inventory.
The wonderful thing about e-commerce in comparison to affiliate marketing is e-commerce provides you full control over everything to do with your enterprise. For instance, it's entirely up to you what prices you wish to put your products at. The one thing you want to make sure is you're not going into a reduction. You're either breaking even or making a profit. Provided that you are doing that, you are able to set whatever price you want. The added advantage of that is that you can also produce special sales, give out discounts, as much as you desire. That isn't true with affiliate marketing because you're promoting other peoples' products. They set the price and you generally can not create your personal discounts or deals. It is up to the person selling. You are just referring customers.
Sometimes when you are a part of affiliate marketing applications, they also set other restrictions on where you are able to advertise, the way you can promote their goods, etc.. With e-commerce you have complete liberty. While in affiliate marketing, Affiliate marketing vs e commerce there might be a few restrictions you are going to have to take care of.
Another thing I enjoy about e-commerce is, as long as it is possible to sell your products, you receive complete flexibility. You can pick from an endless supply of goods to dropship or retailstores.
Alright, so now why I proceeded on to affiliate marketing...
There are a few struggles that come with e-commerce that you frequently don't realize you'll face when you're first getting started. One is the prices. Drop shipping is probably the lowest cost means of e-commerce. A lot of individuals look at it like it is a"no-cost" way but that's not correct.
The difference between e-commerce and electronic products or affiliate marketing is using the latter two, your financial plan is almost just advertisements. There are not many costs beyond that, which means you have to keep everything else. And if you are doing affiliate marketing, then you don't even need to create the item. You're referring people to other goods.
For instance, I'm an affiliate using ClickFunnels (among other programs). I understand I'm going to get a monthly recurring commission with that person of about $50/month. That means I broke even in the first month and I am making a profit for each and every month after that.
